Brrrrrrr!!

Filed Under Scenics, Sunrises and Sunsets, Winter 2010

The howling northwest winds gusted to 50 miles per hour and the temperature peaked at 26 degrees here in Lewes, Delaware today. I waded through 18 inches of frozen sea slush to get a photograph of sunset at Cape Henlopen tonight. It was brutally cold but this scene is rare here.

  1. Jamie Said,

Wow! A frozen Delaware Bay photo with the inner breakwater light in the background is pretty darn sweet! That is definitely worth the trouble.

This is one of my favorite places. I ventured out this past weekend to see what I could capture at Gordon’s Pond. Just as I finished the sun began to break through … I guess I should have gone to Cape! Not too many days we can venture out near the point before those little birds take over!! Great shot. I wish I had gone there!!!

  3. Griff Said,

Thank you for your personal sacrifice to let us see such a beautiful shot!
