I took this photograph of these kids playing on the beach as the sun set on a hot August day last summer. That was exactly 6 months ago. At that time the days were getting noticeably shorter, the waning days of summer. Let’s be optimists as the winter wanes and dream of 6 months from now when this scene will be repeated again.

The report from here in Lewes, DE was that the blizzard dropped 20.6 inches of snow. Rain mixed in with the snow for several hours, then it turned colder and the snow mounted up. Looking in the woods today I found icicles hanging from cedar trees. The late day sun shining through them made a unique and beautiful woods scene.
