I kayaked out to a Laughing Gull nesting colony last evening in Rehoboth Bay, Delaware. It was a great night and I have several photographs to post over the next few days. This sequence, from top to bottom shows an adult Laughing Gull on a nest, two eggs in a nest, a just-born baby still with the egg tooth on the tip of its bill, and the last two show three recently born chicks with one practicing its calling.
