January 3, 2014 VS January 3, 2015

Right now it is 43 degrees outside in Lewes. A light rain is falling, the sky is a bland featureless gray and I am sitting at my computer editing photographs.    One year ago today dawn broke to a nice snowstorm raging outside and the Delaware landscape  covered with new snow.  The storm cleared out quickly and by mid-day the sun was out, there wasn’t a cloud to be seen and I had been out all morning shooting snow scenes. This photograph was taken shortly before noon that day.  Last winter brought us a lot of snow by coastal Delaware standards.  Time will tell if we get a repeat of that this year but so far the predictions for a warmer winter are holding true.  I miss the opportunity to shoot snowy scenes…hmmm, I should be careful what I wish for, right?
