As we roll into the weekend on the heels of Independence Day, which local communities are still celebrating with fireworks, I appreciate nature’s sunset fireworks so many days of the year. I am fortunate to live a few minute’s drive from views like this, which is a terrific aid in getting great sunset and sunrise photographs incorporating beach and dune foreground elements. As a kid, growing up in the suburbs of Boston, I dreamed all winter of summer days at the beach. I’ve lived in Lewes for nearly 50 years and over all those decades sunsets at the beach, and the natural tranquilizing effect they provide, has never diminished.
