Here are two more shots of the unbelievable sunrise two mornings ago in Ocean City. As I said before, my plan for that morning was to shoot aerial drone shots before first light to capture lights on the snowy beach, boardwalk and streets. The sunrise was a total surprise bonus. A real advantage of having a drone up when the sky does this is that I can shoot from so many different locations and altitudes over the few minutes of prime light. The drone moves a whole lot faster than my tired old legs can. My composition imagination and ideas are realized quickly by getting the drone THERE in just a few seconds. The example here is my shooting the pier from a location north of it, hearing a boat heading out of the inlet and getting the drone there in about 30 seconds, a distance of approximately 500 yards. I love the versatility and expansion of creativity my drone gives me.
