Pam and I own land just south of Onancock, VA in a small community called Cashville. It is mostly fields now vigorously growing milkweed. We are very interested in letting the land be attractive to pollinators so we let the milkweed go. Flowers are just forming on the plants and a wide variety of insects were working the emerging blossoms this morning. Here is an American Lady butterfly with its proboscis sampling new milkweed buds.
