Pam and I love leaf peeping but missed traveling to take it in last year as we had the previous year when we went to Vermont. This week we traveled to Shenandoah National Park and spent a couple of days exploring woods, vistas and trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway, starting at Front Royal, VA. It has been very dry there this year and the leaves were not as vibrant as other years, we were told, but we had a fantastic time. I have a few photographs from the trip to share. This is the first of many to come. The parkway is beautiful to drive as shown off in this scene.
