Sunset in Negril, Jamaica is some variation of this scene nearly every night. My personal sample of 6 of them verifies this sweeping declaration. Our week there was Groundhog Day-esque, beautiful sunny mornings gave way to dramatic gray storm clouds flowing down from the mountains and raining out a good part of the afternoon. The rain stops before dinner and the sky starts to open up as the sun sets (and we sit down to eat) and the best light/sky coupling comes after the sun has banked itself below the western horizon. Be there, get the shot, then go back to finish dinner.
