If you see many of my posts you would confidently categorize me as a nature photographer exclusively shooting landscapes, wildlife and macro. I love getting out in nature in pursuit of those subjects but I also often keep a camera with me to photograph subjects and scenes that grab my eye. I love shooting portraits , but seldom do, and I love shooting seemingly plain scenes that, at least to me, evoke a good feeling or artistically interesting composition. I have thought a great deal about what is ‘fine art photography’? Google AI says, “Fine art photography is a style of photography that uses the medium of photography to express the artist’s vision. It’s also known as “artistic photography” or “photography art” (highlight made by AI). I saw this restaurant scene in Baltimore’s inner harbor at lunch and it caught my eye enough to shoot it and create a finished photograph. I put this in a fine art photography category as it should project a mood through the simple combination of light, shadow, texture, geometric pattern and place. This my artists vision. I share this scene in both color and black as I like both. Which one do you like better?
